Ukraine’s air force destroys Russian bridge in Kursk region

Kyiv has struck a significant blow by destroying a key bridge over the Seym River during its bold incursion into Russia’s Kursk region, forcing Vladimir Putin to redeploy more troops in response.

Videos circulating on social media captured the moment the bridge near Glushkovo collapsed, effectively cutting off a crucial route used by Russia to supply its invasion of Ukraine. This move has also isolated part of the local district.

According to the UK’s Ministry of Defence, Ukrainian forces have advanced up to 15 miles into Russia’s Kursk region. The MoD reported that Russia’s defensive lines in Kursk were “unprepared to respond to a multi-battalion assault force.” Ukrainian troops have left a “trail of destruction” in their wake, as witnessed by journalists who ventured into the occupied territory.

Artillery fire has even damaged a statue of Soviet founder Vladimir Lenin in the town of Sudzha, now under Ukrainian control. Buildings are riddled with bullet holes, and debris litters the streets. The town itself appears deserted, with residents taking shelter in basements.

Using British tanks, Ukraine has captured hundreds of square miles in Russia’s Kursk region since launching their daring incursion on August 6th.
